Abstract
This study aims to assess the impact of entrepreneurship competitions on students' entrepreneurial intention, focusing on the mediating role of entrepreneurial competence and the moderating role of family support. Data were collected from 584 students who had participated in entrepreneurship competitions. Using descriptive statistics and regression analysis with SmartPLS software, the results show that entrepreneurship competitions have a positive effect on both entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, entrepreneurial competence not only directly influences entrepreneurial intention but also serves as a mediating factor in this relationship. Additionally, family support plays a moderating role, enhancing the effectiveness of competitions in fostering entrepreneurial intention. The study extends the Theory of Planned Behavior by integrating personal competence and family context. Its novelty lies in emphasizing a tripartite model involving students, universities, and families in building a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem. Accordingly, the study recommends that universities organize practice-oriented competitions and strengthen connections with parents to maximize support for student entrepreneurship.
